Dine
At Capofaro, dining is more than just a meal, it's a moment of connection perfected through years of evolution.
Sira Restaurant
In the Aeolian dialect, "Sira" means "evening," a gentle return home, a slowing of pace, and the rediscovery of convivial warmth. At this cherished hour, It is a time for sharing, smiling, and telling stories, an authentic moment of togetherness.
Sira was born out of deep respect for the raw ingredients that come from the volcanic soil and sea of the Aeolian Islands. The ingredients, nurtured in Capofaro’s gardens and sourced from local fishermen, are used to create dishes that capture the essence of tradition with every bite.
The cuisine speaks of innovation, but always through the memory of tradition, offering a contemporary expression of authenticity.
Sira creates a cultural bridge between the Aeolian Islands and Salento, inviting guests to experience the pleasure of gathering around the table, smiling, talking, and savouring flavours that tells a story of two different lands, their people, and the feeling of being at home, even when far away.
Cuisine & Chef
Executive Chef Matteo Manco, from Salento, brings his roots and light with him, infusing Capofaro’s kitchen with his homeland. It is no coincidence that, in his dialect, the word "sira" also means "evening" – a time filled with conviviality, pizzicato, music, Malvasia wine, and the song of the sea.
"Nni vidimu sta sira," a simple greeting full of love, encapsulates the essence found here: hospitality, authenticity, and belonging woven into every moment.
Sira is all this! Matteo’s cuisine reflects the slow pace of the Aeolian Islands and the vibrant soul of Salento, the strength of the earth, and the rhythm of the sea. It's an invitation to pause, relax, and enjoy exquisite food and wine.
Terrace & Bar
Set high above the sea, Capofaro’s terrace is a place where the landscape unfolds in all its beauty: the infinite blue of the Mediterranean, the vineyards shimmering in the light, Monte Fossa poised on the horizon, and the pool glistening in the background.
At sunset, the sky becomes an every-changing canvas with shades of crimson, violet, and deep cobalt painting the horizon, while the gentle breeze carries the scent of sea salt, pine and sweet perfume of Malvasia.
The Capofaro Bar invites guests to signature cocktails, crafted with creativity and elegance, blues mirroring the sea, other with golden hues that echo the last rays of the sun. Each creation is crafted to reveal subtle notes of the island itself: the sweetness of Malvasia, the saline touch of capers, and other delicate flavours that capture the essence of Salina.
